181 Women Helpline Case – Missing

On 31st March 2017, a caller informed 181 Women Helpline regarding the missing case of a twelve year old girl. She informed that on 22nd March 2017, the missing girl went out with a boy from her neighborhood; the boy being a welding worker and living on rent in the area. The caller informed that the complaint had been registered with Sahaspur Police station on 27th March 17 although there had been no information given by the police or any development in the case. 181 Women Helpline advised her to contact Child Line (1098) and also advised her to register the complaint with PHQ Dehradun. On the behest of caller; 181 Women Helpline contacted to PHQ and registered the case. The Police then sent the team and tracked the location of the boy and the missing girl on basis of the phone number of the accused. On 7th April 2017, 181 Women Helpline was informed by the caller that the missing girl was found out by the Police team and had been sent back to her home safely. The caller paid thanks to 181 Women Helpline team for the timely support with regard to the case.
